JOHN R. BEASON III, ESQ.
Owner & Managing Attorney
J.R. Beason III is a native of Benton Harbor, MI, and holds a bachelor's of Arts in Communication with a specialization in African American and Diasporic studies from Michigan State University. Attorney Beason III attended Atlanta's John Marshall Law School and graduated from the nation's only specialized Criminal Justice Honors program. From 2019-2021, Attorney Beason attended the Afro Descendant Institute for Human Rights, where he became a certified human rights defender and a member of the International Bar Association.
John R. Beason III has been a passionate activist for people's rights since childhood and has carried that tenacious vigor into the J.R. Beason Firm, where he dedicates his life to serving and defending those in need.
YA MARIE JACK
Managing Partner & Chief Operating Officer
Ya Marie Jack, hailing from Banjul Gambia, is a corporate and legal professional with over 10 years in business administration, results-focused performance, workforce efficiency, and project management. Ms. Jack comes to The Firm as a former honors scholar, graduating Magnum Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's of science in Political Science, a specialization in Legal Studies, and a minor in Business Law. Ms. Jack manages The Firm's finances, marketing, automated administrative processes, and policy compliance as an invaluable member of The J.R. Beason Law Firm PLLC.
SALAMA AMINAT-BEY
Chief Client Services Officer
Salama Aminat-Bey is an expert in client relations, organizational, and interpersonal communication, with years of proven experience and success. Hailing from SW Michigan and honing her skills in the Metro-Detroit area, Salama brings her passion for justice and serving humanity to the J.R. Beason Firm. Mrs. Aminat-Bey manages client intake screenings, assessing, planning, and implementing case management tasks to best serve our clients' needs.
JOHN R. BEASON IV (MOHAMED)
Personal Assistant to Attorney Beason III
J.R. Beason IV, a ten year old apprentice, serves as his father's personal assistant. He assist with schedule management, file organization, and essentially whatever his father needs while learning accountability, responsibility, and the value of serving others. Beason IV interest include engineering, robotics, video games, and aims to head The Firm's Intellectual Property Division in the future!
JANIYA R. BEASON
Research Assistant & Social Media Manager
Janiya R. Beason is a tech savvy high school junior in Indianapolis, IN. As a part-time apprentice, researcher, and media manager, she provides The J.R. Beason Firm with the valuable research and media support needed to first find your problems, and then solve them as best as we can to your satisfaction. Janiya R. Beason's interest include women rights and social justice and she intends to take The Firm into new jurisdictions!
ELISA DEMAAR
Refugee Resettlement & Immigration Specialist
Elisa DeMaar, hailing from Clinton, NJ, serves as The Firm's primary Immigration case manager and human rights law clerk. Ms. DeMaar earned her Master's Degree in Educational Equity & Cultural Diversity from Colorado University-Boulder and holds her bachelor's degree in English as Second Language;, with a minor in Sociology from Regis University in Denver CO. Ms. DeMaar also specializes in linguistics with extensive studies in South America, using her unique skill set to help insure that the human rights of each JRBeason Client are respected and enforced.
DR. REV. ANTHONY MOORER
Paralegal
Dr. Rev. Anthony Moorer joined The J.R. Beason Firm early on and has been a critical asset to our firm ever since. Dr. Moorer comes to the Firm from the Non-Profit sector where worked as a legal writer and researcher on hundreds of criminal appeals and civil rights complaints over the span of his career. Cameron Sheppard, a Human Rights activist and student, hails from Benton Harbor, MI and serves as a strategist and negotiator with The Firm. Mr. Sheppard is relentless, hard-nosed, and does not waiver when seeking compensation on behalf of JRBeason Clients.
DEANNA YOUNG
Chief Secretary
Deanna Young, a health information studies student from Benton Harbor, MI, is the consequential big cousin of Attorney Beason III. Ms. Young manages the day-to-day communications between The Firm and the Courts, clients, and others. She also assist the firm manager, law clerk, and case manager with the completion of various tasks.
